Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. A Construction Estimator plays a crucial role in the construction industry by calculating costs associated with building projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
- Determine cost of materials, equipment, and labor for projects and prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to gather information as needed.
- Improve current estimating department by implementing new tools and processes.
- Develop relationships with vendors and customers.
- Assist in change order pricing as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient in blueprint reading.
- Skilled in Microsoft office, Adobe, and other applicable computer programs such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift.
